Can a resident continue to live at Great Lakes Senior Living when they need additional services and care?

Is assisted living truly like living at home?


At Great Lakes Senior Living, our mission is to make our facility feel like home. We offer a specially designed facility with all the comforts of home and just the right amount of assisted living help. Our residents relax in thoughtfully designed apartments, enjoy food in our spacious dining areas, and receive individualized care. We enhance their social lives with lively activities and outings tailored to their interests and abilities.

Our residents are encouraged to bring all their personal touches to decorate their new apartment so it feels more like home. We also listen carefully to each resident’s preferences to understand what they need and how we can provide their ideal level of care and comfort.

What are the visiting hours?


There are none. We strive to make our facility feel like home, so you and your guests are free to come and go as you wish. Our quiet hours are from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

I need someone to care for a loved one while I am unavailable. Do you offer this service?


We offer a respite/short-term stay program. Our respite program is perfect for those who need assistance after a medical procedure or who need help when their regular caregiver is temporarily unavailable. A short-term stay is also a great option for those who want to experience the Great Lakes Senior Living lifestyle before they move here!

How do you set monthly fees?


Our monthly fees vary depending on the size of the apartment and the level of services the resident needs. If you have questions about fees, please call.

Can I bring a pet?


Sometimes we can accommodate pets. Please call so we can learn more about your situation.

Are there assigned seats in the dining room?


We do not assign seats! Our residents can sit where they choose.

Can I entertain guests?


Absolutely! We encourage residents to invite their friends and family for mealtimes. We do ask for 24-hour notice, and an additional charge will apply. Guests are not restricted to only the apartment: you can bring your guests to the common areas. You can reserve our private dining room and parlor if you need space for a party or get-together at no additional cost.

Are there private mailboxes?


Yes. Each resident has their own locked mailbox. Residents are the only ones with access to their individual mailboxes. Each mailbox is located inside the building for easier access, and there are designated spots for residents to put outgoing mail. Packages are delivered to the apartment door. If the resident is not home during delivery, we will keep the package at the front desk for safekeeping.

Can I smoke in my apartment?


We do not allow smoking anywhere in our locations. We keep our campuses smoke-free in order to have a healthier environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Can I bring my car?


Residents are allowed to bring their cars. We offer a parking lot where residents can park, along with several handicapped spaces. We do not have any garages at this time.

Do you provide transportation services?


No, we do not provide transportation services.

What if I don't like what's on the menu?


If you do not like the entree for a meal, you can choose something from our alternate menu. Simply let the staff know what you’d like, and we’ll take care of it for you.
